Welcome to the official home of Catbird Seat music!

Catbird Seat is an original acoustic band blending elements of rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and other great Americana genres to create an eclectic sound that appeals to audiences across a broad spectrum. Bob Bedell, Rob Griffin, and Brett Norton were one of the original acts to play the Eddie's Attic Stage in Decatur, where they made their home with good friends Shawn Mullins, Michelle Malone, Kristen Hall, Andrew Hyra and Kristian Bush, among others. Their early releases "Color Desire", "One of These Days", and "Fairytales and Songs" became cornerstones of the Decatur music scene. Their latest release "Newleaf" exhibits a mature path of detailed songwriting, harmonies, and musicianship that defines the band. Catbird Seat is currently sharing their eclectic Americana sound in venues around the Southeast with some great acts such as Drivin'n'Cryin, Shawn Mullins, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, and Callaghan. So come on out and bring some friends, sing along, support the scene in your area, and join in the fun! Check out their latest songs on iTunes.

We are currently booking shows between Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and the Carolinas hoping to spread the music to as many people as we can.  Please join the mailing list, write and tell us of any cool clubs or festivals that you think we should play.  We also would like to invite you to like us on Facebook, friend us on MySpace, follow us on Twitter, and watch us on YouTube.
